Key responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Oversee daily inventory operations to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Manage store inventory, returns and overstock.
- Maintain proper inventory records and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
Supervisory Duties
- Lead and train inventory team members
- Delegate and assign daily inventory cycle counts, stock audits and reporting
- Monitor staff productivity, ensuring adherence to company standards and policies.
- Assist with interviewing potential new hires.
Process Improvement
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement inventory control processes and strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage, overstock, and stockouts.
- Recommend and enforce best practices for inventory management and warehouse operations.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with purchasing, operations, and accounting teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
- Communicate inventory status, shortages, or surplus items with Operations and Purchasing Manager
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare inventory reports, including stock levels, discrepancies, and turnover rates.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies & audits
- Document and report any inventory discrepancies, losses, or damages to Operations and Purchasing Managers.
Systems & Technology
- Utilize inventory management software within ERP system (Epicor P21) to track, process cycle counts and control stock.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventories to prevent damage and maintain quality standards.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years Inventory Management Experience
- Excellent computer skills & ERP system
- Must pass felony background check
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Exhibits strong leadership skills
- Possesses strong organizational skills
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Works well with a team
